Justin Leonard

Justin Leonard leads strategic communications initiatives that support AAI's mission and help connect research, programs, and services with internal and external audiences. Since joining ATLAS in 2019, he has supported a variety of education-focused projects and initiatives aimed at improving learning outcomes for all students.

Leonard specializes in translating complex topics into clear, engaging communications. His background spans education research, large-scale assessment, public policy and administration, and agriculture. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Oklahoma State University and a master's degree in public policy and administration (MPPA) from Northwestern University (NU).

Beyond his professional responsibilities, he has served as a 4-H adviser, president of the Senior Foundation of Eudora, and communications specialist for the NU MPPA Alumni Community Board. When he isn't working, catch him at the pottery studio, hiking a new trail, hitting a weightlifting goal, or getting creative in the kitchen.
