Biography

Angela Murray, Ph.D., is an assistant research professor and lecturer at the University of Kansas (KU), teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in research methods and statistics. She is director of the Center for Learner Agency Research and Action founding chair of the AERA Montessori Special Interest Group, and founding editor of the Journal of Montessori Research. Dr. Murray earned her doctorate from KU in psychology and research in education, with a minor in cultural anthropology and won honors for her dissertation, “Public Perceptions of Montessori Education.” She has published extensively on Montessori education and has presented on the subject at numerous national and international conferences.
